Dr. Philip Johnson
Dr. Johnson grew up in the Rockford, Illinois area on a beef farm. His father was a physician, and his mother a registered nurse and social worker.
He received a Bachelor in Animal Science in 1977 and his DVM in 1981, both at Iowa State University. After one year of practice in Sun Prairie, WI, Dr. Johnson joined the Omro Animal Hospital in 1982. In 1989, he purchased the practice from Dr. James Tomasek.
Dr. Johnson has always been active in organized veterinary medicine and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association (WVMA), and the Northeast Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association (NEWVMA). He has served on numerous committees of the WVMA and is a past president of the WVMA.
Currently, Dr. Johnson is the chairman of the Wisconsin Veterinary Examining Board. Dr. Johnson and his wife, Molly, have four grown children and six grandchildren. He and his wife reside in Winneconne. In his limited free time, he likes to golf, do yard and garden work, and travel to spend time with his family spread around the Midwest.

Dr. Adam Vigil
Dr. Vigil was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He currently resides in Oshkosh with his wife and their 3 children. He joined Omro Animal Hospital in July 2021 after practicing in the area for the previous 16 years. Dr. Vigil earned a bachelor of Science in Microbiology at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. He continued his education at CSU and received his DVM in 2005. Dr. Vigil enjoys spending time outside, watching sports, and spending time with his family and friends. He appreciates the diversity of veterinary medicine and enjoys working with patients and their families.

Dr. Robert Wright
Dr. Wright was raised on a beef farm in central Indiana when he first became interested in veterinary medicine. He graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Animal Science. He then worked as an Animal Specialist in the Animal Science Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also was the Dairy and Livestock Extension Agent in Green County, WI, for one year.
Dr. Wright received his DVM Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1986. He came to the Omro Animal Hospital in 1991. He received his Veterinary Spinal Manipulation training and certification in 2011.
He lives with his wife, Louise, in the rural Winneconne area, where they raised their two adult children and many dogs, cats, horses, and beef cows. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Jeanne Hintz
Dr. Hintz was raised on a hobby farm near Waterford, WI, where she grew up with beef cattle, horses, chickens, rabbits, dogs, and cats.
She studied pre-veterinary medicine and animal science at UW-River Falls and received her DVM degree from Purdue University in 1986. She started practice in a mixed animal clinic treating dairy cattle and small animals. For several years, she worked for a veterinary pharmaceutical company before returning to the practice to focus on small animal medicine. Dr. Hintz previously worked at the Omro Animal Hospital and has returned after working in the Fond du Lac, WI area.
She lives with her husband, Tom, a dairy veterinarian in rural Fond du Lac, where they raised two adult children, dogs, cats, horses, and calves. She enjoys traveling, cross-country skiing, knitting, and spending time with family in her spare time.

Dr. Christman
Dr. Christman grew up in Neenah, WI, where her family raised and showed Standard Poodles under the supervision of their cat, Tony Tigger.
She studied pre-veterinary medicine at U.W.- River Falls, earning a B.S. in Animal Science with an Equine Emphasis and a Minor in Chemistry and received a DVM degree from the U.W.- Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. Currently, Dr. Christman is pursuing her CVA from the Chi Institute to practice veterinary acupuncture. She especially enjoys working with owners on nutrition and behavior.
Dr. Christman lives with her husband, Bradley, in Oshkosh, WI, with their mixed-breed dog- they plan to add a feline to the mix later this year. In her spare time, she enjoys canine sports with her dog, reading, hiking, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Marx
Dr. Marx is the newest member of our team of Drs. She has been with us since March of 2020. She was born and raised in Oshkosh, and she currently lives in Oshkosh with her husband and their two children.
Dr. Marx graduated from UW Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and graduated from UW School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Dr. Marx has practiced in the Fox Valley area since graduation.
Dr. Marx enjoys spending time outdoors hunting. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Perri
Perri joined the Omro Animal Hospital in 1992. She graduated from UW-River Falls with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science.
Perri is a native of Berlin, WI. Growing up on her parent’s dairy farm, she developed her love for all types of animals, from their dairy cows to the kittens. She and her siblings would sneak them into the house whenever her parents would leave. Working at the clinic has allowed her to meet great people through our clients and their pets. Every day we are all fortunate to learn something new, and each day is different from the next.

Ganelle
Ganelle joined the Omro Animal Hospital in January of 2013. Shortly after, she graduated from Globe University with a Veterinary Technology Degree in March 2013. She resides with her husband, son, two dogs, and two cats. Ganelle enjoys being outdoors, creating new memories with family, and gardening. Ganelle is very passionate about her career as a CVT, and the most enjoyable part of her career is interacting and educating the clients.

Devyn joined the Omro Animal Hospital in September of 2014. She graduated from Globe University with a Veterinary Technology Degree and passed her state board exam in November 2014. She lives with her husband, son, and two cats. Devyn’s passions at work include laboratory diagnostics and phlebotomy. Her favorite activities outside of work include anything outdoors, traveling, and do-it-yourself projects.

Dezarae
Dezarae graduated from Milwaukee Career College in August 2020 with a Veterinary Technician degree. She lives with her boyfriend and three cats, and freshwater snails. She has lived and worked with animals her whole life. Her favorite activities outside of work include traveling, camping, and hiking with as many friends as she can. Her hobbies include hooping, dancing, and reading. She loves working with all animals and takes a special interest in animal behavior.

Demie graduated from UW River Falls in December 2020 with an Animal Science degree. She lived locally until she got into Veterinary school. She has a Boston Terrier, but she has had both small and large animal experience throughout her life. Demie takes a special interest in reproduction and physiology. Outside of work, she loves to read, spend time with friends and family, work with animals, and travel.

Franara joined the Omro Animal Hospital in 2005. She grew up without any animals, which she always wanted. She now shares her home with her cat that she hand raised as an orphan Franara enjoys photography, traveling, and trail and endurance running. Assisting in surgery and educating clients on their pet’s behavior are the most enjoyable parts of her career.

Rebekah joined the Omro Animal Hospital in September 2016 and has 14 years of experience working in a veterinary practice doing everything from reception to assistant work to management. She lives in Berlin with her husband and 2 cats. Rebekah enjoys time with her family and meeting new people and their pets.

Tera joined the Omro Animal Hospital in June 2016 and has three years of previous veterinary experience. She grew up on a farm, and her love for animals is what drew her to this field. She lives with her daughter, two dogs, and one cat. She enjoys spending time in the country at her mom’s home, watching her daughter play sports, horseback riding, and staying active outdoors.

Kailey joined our clinic in September of 2017 and has been in customer service for 14 years. She grew up with cats her whole life until she and her husband adopted Grace, their first Golden Retriever, but in 2019 Ivy the Golden has joined the family. Kailey’s love of animals drew her to the veterinary field, with her love of helping others. Her hobbies outside of work are being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Annie joined our team in March 2020 during the crazy pandemic. She has been a resident of Omro since 2016, where she lives with her husband Josh and furbabies Nova and Scout. She’s originally from the Neshkoro/Princeton area and attended college at UW Stevens Point. She believes that animals are one of our biggest blessings in life and is gland to work at a place where she is able to help them get what they need.

Kelly joined our team in May of 2021. She has been in the veterinarian field for over 10 years and owns a supper club with her husband, Austin, in Oshkosh. Kelly has a zoo of her own! She has four dogs, a bearded dragon, 2 fish, and a bird named Reggie. She loved the outdoors and has over 150 plants inside and outside. Kelly is from Door County and visits back home frequently, helping her dad and stepmom with their 5+ acres of gardens. She enjoys playing with the dogs in her free time, tending to the plants, helping out at the restaurant, and painting. Kelly takes pride in the job because she strongly believes in accessible health care for your furbabies.

Marissa joined our team in August 2021. She has grown up in Omro her whole life but now lives in Oshkosh with her fiancé Daniel and their fur baby Weasley. When Marissa isn’t at work she spends most of her free time out at the barn with her horse Arlo. Horses have been a life long passion of hers and she believes that horses, along with all animals, are one of life’s greatest blessings.

Stacy joined our team in August 2021. She has lived in Omro for the past 4 years with her son Aiden and their fur baby Willow. She also has 2 older daughters that live out of state with 3 grandchildren. When Stacy isn’t at work she enjoys spending her free time with her family. During the summers she spends her time out on the water kayaking.

Katie joined our team in October 2021. She has been a resident of the Oshkosh area for the past year after moving from Southwest Florida. Katie spends her free time with her fur babies, going on walks to the park, or chilling around the house. Katie’s love for her own animals grew into something so much more, and now she truly enjoys her work and meeting many new faces everyday.

Allie joined the Omro Animal Hospital team in February 2022. She graduated from Moraine Park Technical College with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology in May 2009. She shares her home with her fiancé, 2 children, 2 cats, and 2 dogs. Allie is a fear-free certified technician and practices it actively in the clinic. She loves all aspects of her career but has a particular passion for surgery and dental procedures.
